The meeting will be convened by the Chair of the Electoral Review Committee, Cllr Ian Blair Pilling. He will explain that this meeting is part of the first stage of information gathering as to the residents views of the two propositions put forward by MTC and St Paul's Without.

He will take each proposition in turn asking for views. It will be very important that colleagues and residents speak up.

Residents are urged to remember that the two central issues are:

"community identity" ie do residents in the areas around Malmesbury feel part of the Town or parish?

"good governance" ie will the proposals make for better or worse governance in years of representation and decision making for residents?
