On Sunday 22nd March, The Rajah restaurant in Malmesbury held a charity curry buffet for the Mayor of Malmesbury, Councillor Stephen James charities, HEALS of Malmesbury and Malmesbury & District Foodbank.

Monies are still being counted, but we are expecting around £1000 to have been raised.

The winners of the 2026 Malmesbury Civic Awards have been announced and recipients honoured at a gala event at the Town Hall on the 22nd April 2026.

These awards celebrate individuals and groups who have made exceptional and enduring contributions to the local community over the last 12 months within the areas of Malmesbury, Cowbridge, Burton Hill, Common Road, Foxley Road and Filands.

MALMESBURY is a vibrant, market town, steeped in history going back to medieval times. Currently home to many famous & popular musical, cultural, and festival events throughout the year, visitors can browse the charming streets with independent retailers, or stop at one of the lively cafes, restaurants, pubs, and bars.

Attractions to visit include the stunning 12th century Malmesbury Abbey, 15th century Market Cross and the Athelstan Museum with a painting of Malmesbury Abbey by JMW Turner. There are also lovely walks along the River Avon.
