Mayor's Ball - Pre-order wine
For this year's Mayor's Ball, Jamie at the Malmesbury Wine Company has recommended wine pairings for each of the menu options.
You can pre-order wines here, which will be placed on your table for the start of the meal.
Orders need to be received before mid-day on the 16th to allow us time to prepare your wine for the ball on the 18th.
Menu Option 1
Cotswold brined and marinated chicken, celeriac puree, gremolata
Wine Pairing
Brotte, Baies Dorees Viognier - £22.00
The stone fruits and aromatics will match well with the chicken and celeriac
Menu Option 2
Rump of Cotswold lamb served medium-rare, Jerusalem artichoke puree, salsa verde
Wine Pairing
Messer del Fauno, Nero di Troia - £22.00
Intense fruits, subtle spice, smooth tannin. It needs a rich dish such as lamb
