Mayor’s Charity Ball – Malmesbury 11th March 2023

Mayor’s Charity Ball – Malmesbury 11th March 2023

The Mayor of Malmesbury, Cllr Kim Power recently organised a Charity Ball to raise funds for the charities she is supporting this year.

These are Alzheimer’s Support, Heals of Malmesbury Hardship Fund and Riverside Community Centre, Malmesbury.

The evening was very well attended and was honoured by the presence of the Mayors of Bradford on Avon, Calne, Chippenham, Devizes and Trowbridge with their Mayoresses and Consorts. Also attending were the Deputy Mayor of Malmesbury and Wiltshire Councillor Gavin Grant with Consort and the Rev. Oliver Ross, Vicar of Malmesbury Abbey.

Attendees enjoyed a delicious three course meal, silent auction and raffle and the evening ended with great music and dancing to the Razzle Dazzle Jive Band.

Quote from the Mayor of Malmesbury, Cllr. Kim Power:

“It was one of the best evenings I have enjoyed in a long while. The company was great, the meal was excellent and the music and dancing were fabulous!   Above all though, I can’t believe how generous people were - both those companies and individuals donating to the silent auction and raffle and those who bid for items or bought tickets.  I would like to say a huge thank you for donations to support the silent auction and raffle. These were from The Dyson Foundation, Whatley Manor Hotel and Spa, The Old Bell Hotel, Campbell Ritchie, Brinkworth Golf Club, Bowood House and Gardens, Beauty by Clinta, Westonbirt Arboretum, James Gray MP and Aldi UK.

I am over the moon that the event raised in the region of £2,500. During current tough times, these funds are very needed and I am so grateful to all who helped to make this happen.”
